Detailed Educational Qualification & Percentage Requirements
Mandatory School Level Criteria:
  • Candidates must have secured a minimum of 60% marks in English language either in Class X or Class XII.
Professional Degree Criteria (Minimum 60% Aggregate Marks Required):
  • BE / B.Tech / ME / M.Tech degree in any stream: Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Technology / Software Engineering / Cyber Security / System Administration & Networking / Computer Systems & Networking / Data Analytics / Artificial Intelligence. OR
  • MCA with BCA or B.Sc degree (Computer Science / Information Technology). OR
  • M.Sc degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / operational Research & Computer Applications.
Navy SSC IT Selection & Shortlisting Process
  1. Shortlisting of Applications: Shortlisting will be based on normalized marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying degree.
  2. BE/B.Tech Normalization: For candidates who have completed or are in the final year of BE/B.Tech, marks obtained up to the 5th semester will be considered for shortlisting.
  3. Post-Graduate Courses: For MCA, M.Sc, ME, M.Tech, marks obtained up to the 2nd semester will be considered.
  4. SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for 5-Day SSB Interview process (Stage I & Stage II) at designated centers (Bangalore, Bhopal, Visakhapatnam, or Kolkata).
  5. Medical Examination: Candidates recommended by the SSB will undergo a rigorous Medical Examination. Merit list will be prepared based on SSB marks only.
